Falling In Love With NodeJS

Selvin Ortiz / November 21, 2014

I got to use NodeJS on a recent project and really enjoyed the experience. So much so that in less than two weeks I’ve read two whole books, finished NodeJS Essential Training” by Josepth LeBlanc at lynda.com, viewed part of Real Time Web with NodeJS” at Code School (which was not that great), and wrote a bunch of command line utilities to replace those I had previously written in Python and PHP.

The next NodeJS project I’ll be working on is an automation and maintenance tool (Crafter) for Craft CMS, stay tuned for that!

On that note, here is a code snippet about a plugin somewhat related to this article, I’ll let you know what it’s about on my next one…

namespace Craft;

class PgenPlugin extends BasePlugin
{
    public function getName()
    {
        return 'Pgen';
    }

    public function getVersion()
    {
        return '1.0.0';
    }

    public function getDeveloper()
    {
        return 'Selvin Ortiz';
    }

    public function getDeveloperUrl()
    {
      return 'http://selv.in';
    }

    public function registerCpRoutes()
    {
        return array(
        'pgen/generate' => array('action' => 'pgen/generate'),
        );
    }
}
