Happy Third Anniversary My Love
March 2, 2015 by Selvin Ortiz
Dear Mrs. Ortiz,
Today is our third anniversary and as I look through our wedding photos, I’m having a hard time figuring out exactly how we got here. Time seems to have flown by and even though I can’t remember everything, I know that we’ve enjoyed some good times and went through some tough times but through it all, we stayed together and God stood besides us every step of the way.
I want to thank you for everything you do for our family and all the effort you put into making sure that we’re taken care of. Your hard work, patience, love, and understanding are all a perfect example of what attributes a wife should have, yet, your humbleness and ability to forgive have also had a profound impact on my life.
You’ve taught me to be more patient and loving, to be less judgmental and to believe the best in people. You’ve done this by modeling the behavior and patiently waiting for me to catch up.
You are more than a beautiful woman and an amazing human being, you are a devoted wife and a caring mother. With you, my life and work have meaning beyond what I could have strived for on my own.
I will continue to dedicate my life to God, you, and our family so that I can show you my love with actions rather than words.
I don’t need to be happy every minute of every day nor have all the money in the world. What I need is you by my side because without you, the awkward dance moves to the Bones Theme Song are even more awkward and I would really miss our spontaneous discussions about Flatulence we seem to be fond of.
I hope to write many more of these as I get older, and let’s both pray that they’ll get better;)
I love you baby, happy anniversary!
